2026 Private Texas Wildflower Photo Tour

A guest photographs Texas Bluebonnets in the Texas Hill Country

As spring arrives in Central Texas, so does the famous wildflowers that grace the countryside. Texas Bluebonnets are just one of the many flowers that carpet the great wide open landscapes making it feel like you have walked into the Land of Oz. Flowers, birds and butterflies will be our target as well as stopping at some ranches for the opportunity to photograph longhorn cattle and even perhaps some ranch zebras.

COST: $2,600 PP

FLIGHT PLANNING The tour begins and ends in San Antonio, TX. (Airport code SAT) You will be responsible for making your own flight arrangements.

- Arrive on Day 1 by 4:00 PM

- Depart on Day 5 after 5:00PM

INCLUDED IN THE TOUR COST : Local transportation, airport transfers, guide fees, entrance fees, accommodations.

NOT INCLUDED IN TOUR COST: Meals are not included, nor are trip insurance, alcoholic beverages, air travel, luggage fees, gratuities, laundry, other items of a personal nature or not mentioned in itinerary. Gratuity for the tour leader.

GENERAL ITINERARY OUTLINE PLEASE NOTE: Each day’s plans may change along the way as weather, bird and wildlife activity, or other conditions insist. However, plan on early days and late evenings... and lots of fun. You can sleep when you get home!

DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN SAN ANTONIO AND CHECK INTO HOTEL After check-in we will head out to downtown San Antonio to see the famous Riverwalk including the Alamo. Afterward we will have a welcome dinner (remember, meal costs are not included).

DAY 2 – BRENHAM AREA We will leave bright and early for to catch the early morning light on the wildflowers. We will photograph along the country roadsides looking for the best light on the flowers.

We will stop for lunch and a review of our images before heading back out for an evening session with the wildflowers.

DAY 3 — FREDRICKSBURG We will head out dear to get to Fredericksburg by lunch time. On this day we will be stopping at the Wildseed Farms, the nation’s largest working wildflower farm. The farm has more than 1,000 cultivated acres in Texas and over 200 acres of wildflower fields at its Hill Country headquarters outside of Fredericksburg.

After walking the trails, we will head towards Marble Falls, photographing wildflowers along the way.

DAY 4 – MARBLE FALLS On this day we will photograph wildflowers in some of the states recreation areas, some of the best places to photograph wildflowers in the state.

After lunch we will head to Georgetown, TX to photograph the famous Red Poppies.

DAY 5 - TEXAS STATE CAPITOL On our last day we will head down to the Texas State Capitol building in downtown Austin, TX to photograph the gardens around the capitol building. We will have lunch downtown before heading back to San Antonio for our late afternoon flight.
